Castagnola - Italian therapy

Welcome to Castagnola (pronounced Castannyola), rustic Italy at its most spectacular! Nestled in the Appenini, the mountain range that separates Emilia Romagna from Tuscany, the beautiful hamlet of Castagnola contains just 10 houses. It is a truly Italian village, all the other houses being owned by Italians. Some families live in the village permanently and have done for generations; for some it’s a weekend getaway.

The house sleeps 6 comfortably and a cosy 8 if needs require.

Castagnola is situated just 2km from Quara, a pretty village with a good selection of shops, a bar for your morning cappuccino, and a cash point. On Tuesday mornings a man with a van sets up a stall selling fresh fruit and veg.
