Castagnola - the interior

The house has four comfortable bedrooms - one on the ground floor with a large double bed, and three upstairs - two with large double beds and one with two single beds.

The bathroom is on the ground floor and has a loo, shower, child's bath tub and a bidet.

The large kitchen is simple but well equipped, with fridge-freezer, a six-ring hob (four gas and two electric), electric oven and grill and a microwave.  For more adventurous guests looking for a truly authentic farmhouse experience, there's even a traditional wood-burning oven! The tap water is piped directly from the Appenini mountain range (via a small treatment centre built and managed by the villagers!).

In the sitting room there is a large open fire with an endless supply of wood (included in the rental price).

The grounds also include a large single story barn, a cattle barn and an outdoor pizza oven. There is plenty of outdoor space both in front of and behind the house for kids to play, and several areas perfect for alfresco dining, sunbathing or simply relaxing with a good book and a glass of vino.
